It is time to build the industry of the future and to do so in an efficient and sustainable way. To do so, we must listen to the people in front of us, analyse our environment from new perspectives. And think about what role we want people and processes to play in this digital transformation process.

THE PROCESS
Bernardo Villazánco-director of the Chair in Connected Industry and the Master's Degree in Connected Industry 4.0 at ICAI-ICADE, addressed the process of industrial digital transformation post Covid-19, paying special attention to the challenges that industry will have to face, how digitalisation can be a tool to lead the market, and the importance of collaborative ecosystems.

For her part, Laura CorreaSmart Services Program Director at Navantia, spoke about how digital transformation "is no longer an option, but a necessity", and how the shipping company is working to improve its processes and make its portfolio of products and services more flexible. He also shared with the audience his experience in the design and creation of the Shipyard 4.0, and how digital platforms are able to connect everything end-to-end.

THE TOOLS
Ana PedrosaDirector of Organisation and Development at EDP, shared with the audience some of the tools that the energy company has implemented in recent years to attract and retain talent. Undoubtedly, one of the great challenges posed by Industry 4.0. He also shared the training tools and development programmes that are being used at EDP.

Ramón Solórzano, a lawyer specialising in new technologies at the BSK Group, raised the challenges that companies must take on in Industry 4.0 environments from a legal perspective. Especially taking into account the process of servitisation and internationalisation that many of them are undergoing. He also addressed the fundamental challenge of data security, posed by enabling technologies such as Cloud Computing or Big Data.

PROJECTS AND TECHNOLOGY
For his part, Luis SanchoILBOC's Head of Reliability, focused his speech on the potential of the digital twin for the industry. One of the most promising enabling technologies. Based on the digital transformation projects being carried out at ILBOC, Luis presented different success stories for the industry.

The intervention of Daniel MartinezLead Data Scientist at MonoM, y Natalia Mira, applications engineer at Álava Ingenieros, focused on the possibilities offered by technologies such as artificial intelligence, Machine Learning and Deep Learning to transform our business. With their intervention they wanted to underline the importance of choosing the most appropriate data sources, and transforming and selecting this data in a useful way to develop algorithms capable of solving problems autonomously.

Katia ParedesGlobal Product Manager Industry 4.0 at Telefónica Tech, joined us to discuss the new possibilities and challenges of 5G and connected environments. We also talked about how a private network allows companies to improve their production and processes.

THE CLOSING: ROUND TABLE
Finally, the event also hosted the second session of the Digital Cycle Leading Change.

A round table debate on the main challenges and opportunities in the field of industrial maintenance.
To this end, we had the participation of: Alberto Vicente, Advanced Analytic Engineer at Sonae Arauco. Juan Antonio Santamaría, Process Innovation Manager at Grupo Antolin. And Francisco Herrera, director of the Andalusian Research Institute DaSCI and professor at the University of Granada.
