The Product Manager is the product expert who plays a key role in the development, launch and continuous improvement phases of the product.
The professional responsible for creating and managing the "product development strategy", according to customer needs and business objectives.
It is continuously updated with technological advances and user preferences in the industrial environment.
A fundamental link in the product development chain that solves the most complex problems faced by industrial companies and ensures that it meets market needs, develops effectively and evolves in line with the company's long-term strategy.

Development, design, sales, marketing and service teams to ensure effective execution of the product strategy, further assessing whether the team is doing what matters most with real impact and adjusting accordingly.

- Key Job Duties and Responsibilities
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Knowledge of the market and competition:
Gather market information to access customer demand and find the product-market connection.
Interaction with customers:
To identify who the user is and how they use the platform. To know what problems they face to drive the development of new features and functionalities.
Strategic Product Vision:
- Define the product strategy in the medium and long term.
- Explain the reason for the product.
- Communicate accurately the expected evolution of the product and its specific objectives.
- Incorporate in this strategy all the elements for the team to solve the specific problems that arise and reflect customer needs and product priorities.
Define product strategy and positioning
Develop the product overview, highlighting what needs to be done and how.
Definition of requirements:
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand and document product requirements.
Write the product specifications, in line with the "customer needs" and "business objectives", stating: what to build and why, what are the reasons that contribute to the success of the product and how to measure that success.
These specifications will take into account:
- The best "ideas and problems" from customers to work on together with designers, engineers, marketing specialists, among others.
- User experiences and other technical documentation that contribute to the development.
Product Planning:
- Collaborate with development, marketing and sales teams to set goals and priorities.
- Create and maintain an updated product roadmap that visually depicts how the team should approach product objectives, helping you track progress.
- Describe in the roadmap the necessary steps and timelines to achieve short and long-term business objectives based on product vision, strategy and priorities.
- Prioritize problem solving with a data-driven approach.
Oversee cross-functional collaboration:
Work with the development and QA team to ensure high value-added deliverables to the customer
Coordinate the release of new product versions
Internal and External Communication:
- Effectively communicate the product vision to all stakeholders: customers, senior management, internal departments...
- Participate in forums and events.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to create promotional messages and materials.
Life Cycle Management and Product Performance Measurement:
- Monitor product performance throughout its life cycle and propose actions for continuous improvement.
- Identify opportunities for new features and/or enhancements based on customer feedback.
- Use data and metrics to evaluate product performance, make informed decisions and strategic adjustments, and identify new development opportunities.
- Profile
Academic background
Computer Engineer, Telecommunications or similar.
Master's or postgraduate degree in marketing or business is a plus.
Previous experience required
- 3-5 years of experience as Product Manager
- Have led the development and delivery of software products and/or solutions that solve internal and external customer needs, preferably in an industrial environment.
- SaaS/b2B/B2B-SaaS environment
- Have developed and iterated product and/or scalable software solutions using agile methodology and data-driven decision processes.
Courses and/or knowledge required for the position
Training in Agile methodology desirable
Knowledge in product marketing and market research methodologies.

Experience as an engineer, data scientist or Product Manager in an industrial environment.
Experience in:
- User-centered design or design thinking.
- Software related to data/ai/data science/bi.
- Product marketing and market research methodologies.
Accept that priorities may change and be an active driver in changing these priorities according to the customer's needs.
Deepen technically complex situations and make difficult decisions.
