monom on Industrial AI: more than a chatbot copilot

At AIQBE’s Strategic Partners Day in Huelva, industry leaders discussed AI. Moeve and Enagás joined the conversation. monom did more than moderate. The company showed, with a real example, how its technology already works as a maintenance copilot.

The event took place on January 28. It brought together key players from Huelva’s chemical and energy sector. The question was simple: is AI already changing plant operations, or is it still just a promise?

monom CEO José Fernández Diez moderated the panel. Jesús Gómez Melgar (Moeve) and Carlos Sánchez (Enagás) joined him. Both agreed on one thing: digitalization works when it starts with specific processes and people. It fails when technology gets applied generically.

Carlos Sánchez is an electrical maintenance technician at Enagás Huelva. For him, success means fewer unplanned shutdowns. When asked what he’d want from AI, his answer was direct: “eliminate the bureaucracy”.

Both speakers agreed on something else too. AI isn’t a threat to jobs. It frees people up to focus on higher-value work.

monom: from theory to demonstration

Before the panel, monom presented its suite of industrial agents. The idea was simple: show how the technology works as a copilot for maintenance teams. One capability on display was the use of generative AI to diagnose assets through natural language — but that’s just one piece of a broader approach.

With this technology, a technician can:

  • Diagnose the state of a critical asset using plain language.
  • Generate action protocols instantly.
  • Turn dense technical manuals into interactive training guides.

This sums up monom’s approach: move from detecting an anomaly to recommending a concrete action, in one platform, without adding friction for the person using it. It’s not just about generating text or responses — it’s about connecting process data to an actionable recommendation.

monom pairs a process-aware product — not just sensors or vibration data — with decades of predictive-maintenance expertise. That was the core message in Huelva: AI stops being theoretical the moment a technician can ask a system, in plain language, what’s wrong with an asset, and get an answer they can act on right away.

This piece builds on other outlets’ coverage of AIQBE’s Strategic Partners Day, zooming in on how monom’s technology works as a maintenance copilot for the chemical and energy industry.
